The Setup Wizard opens when you choose Log in to Mailchimp on the configuration page, and walks you through three short steps. When it finishes, your customers, orders and products start flowing to Mailchimp on their own.
The extension connects per store view, so every storefront syncs its own products, orders and carts cleanly. Run the wizard once for each store view you want connected; they can share one audience or use separate ones. See How Mailchimp sees your stores.
1. Log in to Mailchimp
Choose Log in to Mailchimp and authorize the connection in the window that opens. Then paste the key Mailchimp shows you into the form and you’re connected.
Pasting a key you created yourself in Mailchimp also works, but log in whenever you can: keys created through the login are recognized by Mailchimp as the official Adobe Commerce integration.
2. Choose where your contacts live
The wizard asks Where should your contacts live? Pick the audience your contacts and orders should sync into, or choose + Create Audience to start a new one.
Pick the audience you already use, even one you’ve built over many years. Connecting adds your shoppers and their shopping data to it, and touches nothing else: nobody gets unsubscribed or deleted, your signup history stays exactly as it is, and new contacts arrive as non-subscribed unless you choose otherwise in step 3.
3. Go live
The wizard previews what will sync so you can confirm the numbers look right. When it shows Ready to sync, click Go Live! and you’re done. The wizard enables everything for the store view as part of going live; there is nothing to switch on by hand.
Before you click it, check Update Audience Members from Guest Orders under the wizard’s sync options if guest checkouts matter to you. Switching it on here is what brings your existing guest orders into the first sync. You can turn it on later, but it will only cover guest orders placed from that point on.
